Dr Tessa Moody is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, having completed her medical studies and specialist GP training in Adelaide. She has completed her National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health, and also her Certificate in Emergency Medicine.
She currently holds a consultant position within SA Health, and works at the Pregnancy Advisory Centre when not at Magill Family Practice. She is also involved in medical education at Adelaide University Medical School.
Dr Tessa enjoys all aspects of General Practice, including mental health and preventative health/health promotion. Her interests and skills include:
– Contraception management, including IUD insertion (Mirena, Kyleena and copper IUDs) and Implanon insertion/removal.
– Sexual health, including STI screening and PrEP prescription
– Women’s health
– Preconception planning, prenatal and postnatal care
Dr Tessa is an LGBTIQA+ inclusive doctor, and strives to create a safe space for all.
Dr Tessa’s hobbies outside medicine include long-distance running, and taking her retired greyhound for short-distance walks.
